Area L AHEC
is a non-profit health education foundation which provides continuing education and training programs for health practitioners and students. The Mission of Area L AHEC is to meet the needs of the healthcare workforce serving Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash, Northampton, and Wilson Counties by providing educational programs and services in partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare agencies, and other organizations committed to improving the health of the people of North Carolina.

The North Carolina Community Health Center Association (NCCHCA)

is a non-profit membership organization committed to fostering collaborative partnerships to maximize community resources. NCCHCA represents Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and serves all consolidated health center grantees. The community health centers that they represent are built to serve the entire community and are populated by those with and without insurance.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Targeted Capacity Expansion Program
expands upon and enhances delivery of substance abuse treatment services to persons multiply diagnosed with HIV and substance abuse addiction. The goal of Expansion is to deliver enhanced and expanded culturally appropriate substance abuse treatment services to multiply diagnosed persons including African American women, men who have sex with men (MSMs), and recently incarcerated clients in the Raleigh-Durham Metropolitan Service Area (MSA).
